World Internet Summit Day 4 Part 2

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by John on 20-11-2007

Adam Ginsberg hit the stage with a wealth of information to use myspace to great advantage as a marketing tool. DO NOT DO DIRECT MARKETING using myspace. This is a great medium and so versatile to be able to use suggestion marketing. Adam’s proprietary system is a real winner having the ability to enhance the myspace page and add friends targeted to your nich is superb.

At this point I must give an apology Tom Hua was back on stage giving a detailed run through of www.worldinternetoffice.com when I had to nip out for a call of nature, well I bumped into Shaun and ended up having a deep conversation. Consequently missing Toms talk. For that I am sorry you can follow the link above to gain an overview. For my own solid backend office I personally use Fantasos so solid an earthquake cant shift it.

Now we come to the closing hour and a half. If you like the look of these last four posts and wish you had been there with me then you are in for a treat. The attendees at this event earned the rights to the full dvd set of everything that happened over the last four days. Want to know more? Click hear It did take a little while for the licences to be handed out.

The closing parade of speakers left us with an afermation message from each one.A last tour round to say good bye for now then it was off to the pub for dinner and a pint before heading back to the hotel to type this up.

If you enjoyed these posts do look in again I have pulled the Britpack files out of the roundtoit, more on them tomorrowJohn

World Internet Summit day 4 Part 1

Filed Under (Internet) by John on 18-11-2007

At 08.00 sharp Shaun Clarke gave his update on http://www.grapevineguru.com his internet challenge site

He has certainly shown us how to start a sustainable business. This site first saw the light of day only four days ago, it’s actually been live about three and a half days with initial traffic driven by ppc in the space of just over three days the stats are more than encouraging with a click through rate of 28% and a sale rate of 5% from traffic driven. This site is predicted to be doing $3000 a month in a years time. I will get an update from Shaun for you in a few months.

Shaune, Terry and me at world internet summit 2007

At first sight Alan Forrest Smith could be taken for a younger version of Billy Connelly, but when you talk to him you very soon realise he is a very gentle gentleman in every sense. His quiet and unique style talking about second level copywriting was both entertaining and very informative.Alan has made a study of ad copy finally tuning his skill to an extent where he can take 12 words out of a sales page replacing them with just six and increasing the sale by 100s %.   Alan Forest Smith and me at world internet summit 2007 Tom Hua has a real story to tell, from not many years ago landing in Australia penyless in fact having to sleep rough while both going to school and working a low paid job to being one of the most respected and prolific marketers on line.

Tom’s full explanation of how to work a business in a box filled with such detail No ONE person that really listened should fail to be in profit.

World Internet Summit Day 3

Filed Under (Internet) by John on 17-11-2007

Think I am an alien? Londoner’s must do on the 20 minute walk to the conference I said a cheery good morning to every person I passed, NOT one replied even worse you could feel most of them turn round for a look thinking what on earth was that? Clearly communication is not one of the general skills in Kensington.

That could not detract from my knowing we were in for a bumper day today.

Shaune gave a very enthusiastic challenge update with great news, early indications are the site is a runaway success, already from nothing in 24 hours it had a 20% click through rate and a 25% sale rate. Even if it settles down to half of the initial indications it will be well above average ongoing performance.

The first speaker of the day with a subject high in interest to your truly was Mike Stewart the audio and video guy. For 90 minutes I sat riveted to every word pencil working frenziedly. Mikes info was pure gold.

Mike Stewart and me at world Internet Summit2007

Much more pure gold next as Brett McFall did an intensive workshop on copywriting talk about over delivering 3 full A4 pages and only 20 minutes left for lunch. Way to go Brett.

Brett McFall and me at World Internet Summit 2007

Ok world look out for a large influx of British top marketers over the next few months. Ewen Chia is not only the world’s number 1 super affiliate but one of the nicest guy’s I have ever met. Not only was his presentation superb but the content and completeness of his package is virtually guaranteed to produce top class marketers. Needles to say the package sold out within minutes.

Now what can I say about Armand Morin, I am sure it will all have been said before, WOW and WOW again the strategies Armand gave freely will certainly help notch my business up over the next few months and beyond. Just Armand’s presentation alone is worth several times the investment to attend this event and we still have another full day to go yet.

Todays post is a little later than usual as you will see by the pictures we all adjourned to the pub at the end of the day.More tomorrow John

World Internet Summit Day 2

Filed Under (Internet) by John on 16-11-2007

Wow what a day my head is still spinning I’m not sure I will be able to sleep tonight after all the great information picked up today.

First off Brett McFall introduced most of the speakers we will be privileged to listen to over the next 3 days.

Then first up bright and breezy as ever was Tracy Repchuk (my mentor) with a real wealth of high quality information for everyone. This lady’s best seller 31 Days to Millionaire Marketing Miracles is a blueprint to get your internet dreams realized.

Adam Ginsberg: what a personality in the unlikely event the internet went the way of the dinosaurs Adam would have no problem making a good living as a comedian entertainer. He has a unique style of very fast presentation laced with humour whilst at the same time getting the message over, his knowledge of ebay is second to none.

Writer’s cramp! Two full pages of top class highly usable information came from Rick Raddatz the software solutions guy. Invest in yourself was Ricks base message with a plethora of ways you can do just that. A real gem of a talk.

Defiantly a day for laughter with Sean Roach up next. I had met Sean previously in sean roach and me at world internet summit 2007

Coventry at the BritPack event. Larger than life with a huge sense of humour Sean’s presentation on web 3 is both entertaining and packed with quality information.  The day rounded off with a networking session giving us a chance to talk to several other attendees you never know what JV’s or partnerships may be formed.

Watch for another huge day tomorrow john

World Internet Summit Day 1

Filed Under (Internet) by John on 15-11-2007

The day was bright and sunny in more ways than one, yes the weather was exceptionally good for this time of year. So good in fact I walked the 2 mile or so from the hotel to

Earls Court

.

It’s the first time I have seen Brett McFall and Tom Hua both are very knowledgeable and have a great way of presenting it. Brett kicked things off with a presentation of A.B.C. of marketing which Was very well received by all.  Sean Clarke after giving a talk about succeeding on line proceded to set up The World Internet Challenge, a brand new site to demonstrate over the next three days how quickly a site can start generating sales. Tracy Repchuk and me at world Internet Summit 2007I met up with my mentor Tracy Repchuk  giving us time for a quick update session.  The day was rounded off by Tim Brocklehurst on rapid list building. All great information worth taking note of. More tomorrowJohn

The Trip Heading for London

Filed Under (Internet) by John on 14-11-2007

What a beautiful day Wednesday started out. This is the day I set off for The World Internet Summit in

London.

As I only live in

Bolton I decided to travel by train! As I haven’t used the rail service for over 20 years I wasn’t sure just what to expect.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much the rail service has improved over the years, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the trains ran on time, everything was clean and in good condition and most importantly the communication was very good.

Going back to the last time I used a train the communication was really awful. The speaker system volume was too loud causing bad distortion and the announcer also appeared to shout down the microphone making the distortion worse. You never actually knew if you were getting on the right train as destination displays quite often were left blank.

Well it looks like some good training and modern technology has worked wonders. The audio system both in the station and on the train were crisp and clear without distortion, the visual displays all being digital now are very readable, communication is very good in comparison.

That’s something to think about when communicating with your potential customer.

Make your visual information sharp and easy readable; coming quickly to the point of giving the information your prospect/customer is looking for.

  • Splash/ squeeze pages good headline immediately giving instruction and action point is all that’s required.
  • Audio if used : crisp clear and quickly giving relevant information
  • Video : quickly grab attention keep all content relevant and quick moving.

Just some of my thoughts whilst travelling.

I will post reports of the event tomorrow.

John

P.S. I am doing this one daily, the BritPack reports went into my roundtoit I have started on them and will be posting those too.

Till the next time John

Hectic Days are golden days.

Filed Under (general) by John on 31-10-2007

All sorts of events can and do disrupt your daily routine. Some pleasant, some not so pleasant. The last couple of days fall into the pleasant category.

Although today is Halloween young John (my grandson pictured hear) image boys dresed as skeliten had his school Halloween disco yesterday. That created a lot of extra work for me as I am a Friend at his school. After finishing my own collage course in the morning the afternoon was taken up decorating the school hall. That left about one hour before we had to be back for the party.

Two hundred children all in costume had a terrific night with dancing, games and plenty to eat. The night went well without incident or injury. Back home for about nine o’clock young John came down to earth with a bump.

He still had his maths homework to do L he went to bed very tired and very late still that could not remove his cheeky smile from the pleasure of tonight.

This day was a golden day to be a part of the joy and pleasure enjoyed by not only young John but the other two hundred children.

Life is an Education

Filed Under (general) by John on 27-10-2007

Education comes in many forms. From the structured lessons at school or collage. To using instruction manuals or even simple observations at home or work.

Life itself is an education.

This Blog will follow my journey and the lessons learned with life on the internet.

My three major passions Family, Helping Others and Internet Marketing are intertwined, these subjects are so integrated the post’s to this Blog will have elements of all aspects in them.

If reading about my journey gives you even a fraction of the pleasure I have living it then this Blog will be worth the time I will devote to it. If you learn something new and find it helpful that also feeds one of my passions.

Your comments and feedback both positive and negative will be welcome, BUT please do not use abusive language or profanity this Blog is open to all and may be viewed by young and old alike.
