Wishes for a wonderful day.

Filed Under (general) by John on 26-12-2008

Good things DO come from bad.
After spending Christmas Eve with my friends next door, wrapping presents and making merry I finished the day off chatting to an old friend 4000 mile away on line.

Having been good friends for a lot of years she knows the details of a family tragedy in 2004, very recently thanks to her memory of that event she had the good sense to call for help after recognizing a bad reaction to some medication which in all probabilities saved her life.

I am so pleased good things came out of one of my family tragedies, our friendship goes from strength to strength, although we have never met each other in person, she has a good heart and has always been there for us in times of adversity as I hope we have with her.

At this time of year I hope if you are troubled in any way you too have a friend like Mel bringing joy in your life.

I wish all Family, Friends and acquaintances piece and joy of the season.

John Delavera changes the way Internet Marketing works!

John Delavera changes the way Internet Marketing
works! The revolution starts on December 7 at
10AM EST and I AM SO EXCITED being a DOer in this
change of History!!!

John Austwick and John Delavera

John Austwick and John Delavera

When John does something as good as thisI just have to let you know so I copy and paste the latest message I got from John since he has his Delaverian way to say things better than everybody:

Read on - again this is FRESH HOT NEWS:

Today I feel like rewriting my own history.

As you may know I started on the Net as a newbie
by creating a script: TurboReferer - back in 2002.
For the records: I was a newbie in the GLOBAL
market; and I am glad to say that my credentials
on the local market and off-line are gems in my CV.
That also means that I was planning my attack
for about 8 years… Learning… Testing things…
Baking ideas, one after another… teaching myself
through my mistakes…
So my first arrow, TurboReferer hit the target.
TurboReferer made an impact because there was NO
other script that could reward affiliates automatically
for the referrals they’d send to a site. TurboReferer
thus was a TAF (Tell A Friend) system with many
twists and a build-in affiliate program.

Years pass fast, at it always happens, and I had
to stop the development of TurboReferer, because I
wanted to include the functionalities to my new
flagship product JVManager. And then to Fantasos.
That’s what I did.

However…

Web 2.0 Era challenges us all; we need to stay
updated and use modern tools in our marketing.
We cannot hit airplanes with javelins…
(I wrote an article about this in 2003 I think…)

I had been thinking about this…

I did my research and finally ended up to point 0 - again…

I could not USE a third-party Tell A Friend script…
I HAD TO CREATE SOMETHING that could work
as a stand alone solution and also be fully compatible
with what I trust: Fantasos.

That script is ready.

Introducing:

*TurboReferer PRO*

That’s why I feel today like rewriting my history.

TurboReferer PRO is the best script out there that
allows people to IMPORT their CONTACTS from their
email accounts AND also add friends manually…

Of course, there are scripts that do the same thing…
TurboReferer PRO starts where other scripts end
- as it happens with all my flagship solutions.

Here is where the Magic starts - and this is a real
example so you can click on the link below:

Say you suggest your subscribers to visit this page:

TurboRefererPRO.com

Tom, one of your subscribers, visits that page and
decides to act upon the challenge offered there:
Win a legacy version of TurboReferer (of value $147)
just for sending 100 people on that page.
By the way.. and for your information, the legacy
TurboReferer script is quite rare today and cannot
be found easily online. And it still works fine:)

So all Tom needs is to refer 100 people to that page
by suggesting the page to his Gmail account’s contacts
… or he can use his Hotmail account’s contacts… or Yahoo…
or MSN.. or AOL…. and perhaps add some more friends
manually.

And that’s what he does.

Tom sends the invitation to more than 200 people.
Can you guess what happens next?
Remember: All you did was to send people to
www.TurboRefererPRO.com

NOTHING ELSE.
By doing so….
…YOUR affiliate link is included automatically
to ALL outgoing messages…
So if Tom refers 100 people they all get your
affiliate link inside. Same if Tom suggests the
page to 200, or 300 or to 1000 people….
Can you feel the power here?

As said, that’s where the Magic starts.
Because we are talking about a TURBO script.

The real beauty of TurboReferer PRO is what happens
inside the administration area…

The admin (myself in the real example used above)
added a referral plan inside the script that rewards
affiliates too when they SEND 100 people on that site.

I could add a SECOND plan too.

For example, send another gift automatically if
affiliates SEND 500 people on that page…

Or a 3rd plan, say give free access to a membership
if 50 people visit that page above, and then follow
the link to http://www.SantaDealTime.com
and ordered the access…

How is that possible?

Because TurboReferer PRO counts orders too. :)

I have more options inside the admin area…

I can even BAN people… IP addresses, email addresses…
if they misuse my system.

I can add more than 1 link inside the message to
be sent through all invitations, up to 5 links actually
and have all those links carrying the affiliate ID
of the affiliate that sends traffic to that page…
Reread the above paragraph, because from what I know
there is NO other solution that allows you to suggest
MORE than 1 page IN THE SAME message and
have affiliate links inside for ALL the products/websites
mentioned…

As said TurboReferer PRO works with Fantasos but
works with ANY other solution… All the admin needs
is to define the Affiliate ID parameter inside…
Or it can work without an affiliate program in action.
Just as a TAF system.
Yes, I can do many things inside the admin area…

I can control the users by limiting the times
they can import contacts from the same account…
I can forbid them to use the system unless N hours
have passed… Say 24 hours, or 72 hours, etc…

I can even control the layout of the submission form…

I can use a CAPTCHA system so to add security.
(Users will need to verify the number displayed in that
CAPTCHA image.)

And…

MUCH - MUCH more I do not want to disclose now…

Why?

Because, you see…

TurboReferer PRO is ONE of my contributions to
Santa’s Deal Time event that starts on December 7, 2008
at 9 AM EST here:

http://www.SantaDealTime.com

People that will get access from tomorrow can use
this powerful system…

Plus my other 2 new scripts, web 2.0 compatible too:)

Plus the TONS of goodies delivered by my online fellow
marketers…

More surprises come…

Because I am going to use something that will make
my affiliates RAVING about it…. That something
if used correctly by my affiliates will allow them
to COMMUNICATE with you MORE EFFECTIVELY.

Hint: They can add their bonuses Online to THEIR
customized affiliate page…

Yep… Revolution starts tomorrow.
It’s good to re-write your own history and move on…

Will you be part of that History tomorrow?

http://www.SantaDealTime.com

Because early birds always get the better price…
(that’s another hint…:))

Enjoy!

The recovery starts…

Filed Under (Personal) by John on 18-10-2008

Little steps turn into giant leaps.

Having the responsability for the children I went back to collage on a part time basis to brush up on Maths and English, teaching methods have changed a great deal from my schooldays, the refresher was just the thing to help the children with their homework and education in general.

This is also a help with my writing having been into computers from the 1970s using American spell checkers in the UK for years created serious confusion with spelling, not that I was good with spelling in the first place.

Knowing I needed to get the business back on track, I also had the time to reflect on what I could have done better, after all I was virtualy starting from scratch. Most of my lists were gone and my sites with the exeption of the hosting were in disaray.

The first thing was to get better organized with my computer files, I came across a fantastic piece of software called the

. Just the job to have all my information, programs and scripts in a very easy to find format. as I have never been the most organized in filling, I estimate this little program has saved me hours every week with now being able to find anything on my computer with just a couple of clicks

Having done some programing and it is a good compliment to hosting I purchased a ready made re branded resell rights site

along with some exclusive scripts to start rebuilding the business.

I also realised very quickly the promotion methods I had used previously were now much less effective, I needed to retrain myself.

THE PLAN

Education is the key:
Having used, bought and promoted training courses in the past, some very good, some not so good I had to find a way to go for the courses that would give me the greatest benefit. Having spent years in isolation behind the keyboard when the opportunity arose to attend my first live event in the UK, tickets bought hotel booked away I went to the Focus marketing seminar. The prime objective to find a good mentor.

The business killer.

Filed Under (Personal, Uncategorized) by John on 01-10-2008

After Sheila’s passing, I was an emotional mess, I had the good sense to arrange for two of my lovely grandchildren to come stay with me, Charlene (15)

charlene at 15

charlene at 15

and John (10)

John at 10

John at 10

Without them I would probably have been joining Sheila within three months,

Having my grandchildren to look after (or were they looking after me?) Parental mode kicked in and life started rebuilding, with what focus I could muster being directed toward school life and parental guidance for the children.

The business killer came in May of 2007 when my main hosting company was attacked and the server and backup were destroyed. My hosting business disappeared along with all my own sites. Total loss of business.

One huge lesson learned ALWAYS keep a current backup of your server away from the host.

Sods law dictates!

The same week my hard drive also packed in (now partial data recovered) but thankfully not before I managed to upload some (but incomplete) parts of my own sites back to a new server, I lost all but two of my hosting customers (only to be expected) In my grief depressed state; I had neglected my business.

Thankfully, as I had been doing some things right cash was not a real problem, as I was still deep in depression work on resurrecting the business was slow.

The recovery starts… Part 3 to follow.

My world crumbled two years ago today part 1

Filed Under (Personal, Uncategorized) by John on 28-09-2008

It was just two years ago today so suddenly, and unexpectedly I lost my dear Sheila, about 00.30 Sheila had gone downstairs for a snack, I suddenly woke to a strange noise, jumping out of bed and running downstairs I found Sheila chocking on a nutragrain bar of all things, despite me performing the Hinderic manoeuvre then manually clearing her throat and performing CPR, I could not revive her.

Sheila was the love of my life, sole mate, wife and best friend. She had been so supportive in all things, even when in 1999 I started the long journey into online marketing, working full time then sat at the computer often until 3 in the morning and up again for work before 7.

Sheila and I the last photo

Sheila and I the last photo

Sheila would proof read all my typing despite having poor eye site, correcting my grammar and spelling mistakes she knew I would make it on line. 2002 found us together 24/7 when at last I could go full time on the internet.

The next four years were good despite various health problems and family tragedies we supported each other in every aspect.

Although I consider myself a strong person on Sheila’s passing grief depression set in a big way, for months it took me all my time to just scan my email, thankfully I received very few customer service requests as even the simple ones appeared to be a huge amount of work, I had no focus at all.

Part 2 to follow the business killer…

Have you heard about the Dynamic4?

Filed Under (Membership) by John on 12-08-2008

Well, they have done it again, earlier this year Internet Marketing specialists: John Delavera, JP Schoeffel, Jeremy Gislason and Simon Hodgkinson. joined forces to build a simply massive membership site - As you can imagine this thing is just packed with killer stuff…

They have reopened with another huge amount of great content. It took me hours to download and evaluate before I wrote this.

Inside you’ll find absolutely everything you need to increase your sales, grow your sites, and add serious profits to your bottom line.

There’s brand new software tools, videos, audios, books, courses and so much more it’d be almost impossible to list everything here.

This is a limited number site as they don’t want to flood the market they do want you to make money, as a matter of fact until the 17th members can sell membership for 100% commission, Yes these ethical marketers are actually giving the members all the one off membership fee so in esance you make one sale the membership is free, make more than one sale you are already in profit even before you have time to take advantage of all the high value content.

click hear to Check out the new D4M2 site now.

By the way, the price is going up on the 18th but for the next 7 days only You can take advantage of the intro price.

Has Frank dropped a clanger?

Filed Under (Internet, Personal view) by John on 12-08-2008

As great as Frank is with his free masscrontrole information my personal view is he may have dropped a clanger, Responsive lists are built on trust, it is far too easy to diminish or even destroy that trust using subject lines like ‘Bad News’ particularly if it’s just a ploy to have people open the email or the content is primarily a pitch for a product.

Frank’s masscrontrole must work as I am amazed at how many experienced marketers have just sent the stock email for Frank’s video without any thought of diminishing trust, As well respected marketers some may get away with it BUT I would really suspect the unsubscribe rate to those lists will take a big jump. The bigger problem will be when marketers just building lists use this type of tactic which could virtually kill their small list and set them back months or even dishearten them enough to kill their business altogether.

Building a list with honesty and integrity does take time, for goodness sakes don’t kill your list by dropping a clanger.

Got at by the Gremlins

Filed Under (general) by John on 30-07-2008

Well, it has been rough few days with the computer’s the gremlins struck big time.

First off my trusty HP notebook slowed nearly to reverse, my own fault for not keeping an eye on downloads. I spent a full day moving files and programs onto a new 500gig external hard drive including my IM Index (organisation system). After re optimising the notebook was running sweet, just as good as taking it out of the box.

Thennnnnnnnnnnnn……..

The gremlins took over the new hard drive failed. The light went to RED the drive started clicking. When did this happen? Immediately, on my return from buying the new pack of DVD’s to run the backup. All my source files, video and audio, GONE. Thankfully, the majority of files are also on the desktop computer and the ones that aren’t are recent downloads, I can replace, I just have to wait for the replacement hard drive to arrive now.

Gremlins 2

My information site officiallifestyle . info showed as going over quota on checking, I found it was a vulnerability in the partner link exchange program well taken advantage of by a link spammer, the main problem after locking out the spammer, the server software stooped me from removing any files. Being over quota I did not have the space to create a trash bin, No great problem I thought as this is my own server just increase the quota and clean up. GRRRRRRRR quota increased by 250% still no trash bin. still working on that one.

Gremlins 3

Then just to cap it off today one of the grandchildren managed to download something onto the networked computer I have set up for them that froze the wireless connection to the desktop system. A simple reset and running the spam check did not work.

So at this moment in time I have a computer full of business files that wont talk to the net and a notebook with no business files that will and a server that won’t let me delete files.

I have pest control coming tomorrow to remove a wasp nest in the house wall I wonder if they have a way of removing gremlins? I wont hold my breath :)

As it’s about midnight, I think a couple of whiskeys and an early night I will de grmlinise in the morning.

It’s a tweet week.

Filed Under (Twitter) by John on 26-07-2008

Twitter appears to have come to the for this week I came across an excellent video produced by Harris Fellman on Monday. Then Tuesday John and soren launched tweet my blog a great wigit for wordpress visit tweet my blog to pick up your free wigit. If you don’t use Twitter yet you are missing out on a great source of traffic to say nothing of the great information you can pick up following the people in your niche.

Back to the wigit, if you look in the right side bar you will see my Twitter feed click any of the notes it will take you to my Twitter page where you can see all the tweets I have made and who I am in conversation with, see something that interests you click that and follow through for more information. This can work as a fast track for info and you are much more likely to see relevant stuff you may miss by not opening emails or speed reading (skipping over) parts of web pages.

Now I am not an expert on Twitter by any means but for the few days I have been using it I am very impressed, it could become addictive but selective clicking of tweets can also speed up the way you gather pertinent information.

It costs nothing but a little time to try out, Go ON see if it fits in with your business model.
